'THE WELL'

The three day long “Dr. D.R. Singh Memorial Debate Series - The Well” debate organized by Ludhiana Management Association (LMA), & PCTE Group of Institutes. The Well, which has been organized for the second year by PCTE, has been co-organized by LMA this year in the memory of late Dr. D R Singh. DAV, IET Jalandhar, bagged the first position with the cash prize of Rs. 25,000, Rajiv Gandhi National Law University, Patiala stood at second position with cash prize of Rs. 15,000 and DMC, Ludhiana won the third position with Rs. 10,000.The prizes were given by Mr. V.K Goyal, Mr. Anil Kumar past President LMA, Mr. Inderjit Nagpal the sponsor & Dr. K.N.S Kang at the concluding function.  The Well attracted 32 teams from inside and outside Punjab, including teams from Delhi University, Law colleges in Lucknow, Raipur, Gandhinagar, besides UBS, Punjab University, and Deptt of Business Management, Punjabi University. Most of the local colleges also participated vigorously in the debate, which worked on a knock out pattern. .

PCTE Model United Nation (PCTEMUN)

It is an academic simulation of the United nations that aims to educate participants about civics, geography, countries, their cultures, their strengths and weaknesses, effective communication, globalization, multilateral diplomacy, and eventually the entire world coming together to crack global problems!! In Model UN, students take on roles as foreign diplomats and participate in a simulated session. Participants research a country, take on roles as diplomats, investigate international issues, debate, deliberate, consult, and then develop solutions to world problems. The participants discuss and debate on issues of global concern which helps them develop and hone their oratory and reasoning skills. Motive of the entire event is to educate the participants about the functioning of the United Nations and understanding the perceptions of other countries on world issues. Ultimately, the value of this conference lies in its capacity to show students the potential for change in today's world.

Geo Mania

If it has intrigued you where the small godforsaken little country called Kiribati is? or why do we see heavy fog on some days, and how can it snow more in Atlanta than Seattle, which is way up north? n such questions keep you researching for hours... Highbrowz Unvired has exactly the thing for you!! So for all you quizzers and Geo buffs out there, PCTE presents once more "THE GEO MANIA"!! It's a quiz that'll test your proficiency in Geography. Geo Mania comprises of 2 rounds:

• First round would be written
• Second would be visual.

So if the world geography freaks you out-PCTE through this quiz enables you to land in the PLANET GEOGRAPHY!!.

Case Presentation

BE it IT…….BE it Business……….You need to hone your presentation skills. Rules:
1. Team consists of 3 participants.
2. The topics for the presentation will be from the field of management and IT.
3. Time allowed for presentation is 25 mins.
4. The source of data and information presented should be given during presentation.
5. LCD projector, video clips and audio can be used for presentation.
6. The executive summary and the text of presentation should be provided to the concern faculty 24 hrs in advance.
7. Dress code for presentation is strictly formal.
8. Judgment will take into account following parameters.
9. Quality of material and write up.
10. Presentation material and skill.
11. Analysis and observation.
12. Handling of critical evaluation and questioning.

Entrepreneur Quiz

Entrepreneur Quiz consists Five Rounds:
• Preliminary has a pair of Two:
1. Written Round (objective questions)
2. Clue Round (Where a leading hint about the entrepreneur would be provided). Two guesses. First guess will gain extra marks.

• The winners of first two will go to the finals. It will have three levels:
1. Blank spaces fill up for the correct name.
2. 10 correct questions fetch you the Entrepreneur's name.
3. Visual Round.
