Dr. K N S Kang, Director General of the Institutes elaborated that in British parliamentary debate as there were three participants per team either in the government or in the opposition, so they required far more skills in terms of team work, knowledge application, communication and expression in order to win, rather than the traditional debate where two participants came with pre-prepared speeches and did not actually get to rebut the points picked by their opponents and counter them.
Five debates are scheduled for 11th of September while Four debates will take place on 12th, where a three member panel of Adjudicators will watch out for the winning teams to display immense passion, knowledge, and ability to listen to other players, interpret and analyse the information, apply their research and resources and defend their perspectives.
Dr. Kang elaborated that this not only made the students street smart, but would actually enable them fetch better jobs in life and settle down better. He said contemporary topics on world power, politics, economy, development, environment, and much more was dwelled on great length, when every two teams that debated on a single topic, which lasted for over an hour, gave them multitude perspectives.
