Punjab Technical University appoints Dr. K. N. S. Kang as Dean (Faculty of Management)


The Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar has appointed Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director, PCTE as Dean (Faculty of Management) for the Punjab Technical university. This announcement was done by Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU, Jalandhar during 32nd Academic Council meeting of the Punjab Technical university held at PTU campus, Jalandhar on 17 March 2009. “With this appointment, Dr. Kang has become one of the youngest to become Dean at the age of 43 at University level. Dean at University level is appointed from all the institutions affiliated to the University and Dr. Kang from PCTE has got this appointment out of about 80 management colleges affiliated to the University in the state. Dr. Kang has also been one of the youngest Directors of any management institutes at the age of 34. During the Academic council meeting of the university, Dean for Engineering and Pharmacy and Social science were also appointed.

On this occasion Wg. Cdr. H.S.Gill, Chairman, Punjab Management Education Trust congratulated the Director General, PCTE Institutes and wished him best of luck for his future endeavors.

Dr. Kang is an electrical engineer from REC, Kurukshetra and MBA, Ph.D.from PAU, Ludhiana. Presently Dr. K.N.S.Kang is Director General of PCTE group of Institutions and managing PCTE, PCTE Institute of Management & Technology, PCTE Institute of Pharmacy and PCTE Institute of HMCT. Dr. Kang has more than 20 years of industry and teaching experience in the field of business management. Besides this Dr. K.N.S.Kang is General Secretary of Ludhiana Management Association.
