“FOCUS & CLEAR AIM CAN MAKE STUDENTS SUCCESSFUL”, SAYS SACHIT JAIN, ED VARDHMAN TEXTILES AT PCTE
“Focus & Clear aim in the life can make anyone’s life successful and happy” said Mr. Sachit Jain, Executive Director, Vardhman Textiles Limited during the inauguration ceremony of first ever two days national level British Parliamentary Debate being organized by Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE Group of Institutions) today i.e. 27th March 2009 at PCTE campus, Ludhiana. Mr. Sachit Jain was Chief Guest on the occasion. Mr. Jain addressed all the participating teams and organizers during inauguration session. Wg. Cdr. H.S.Gill, Chairman PCTE Institutes presented token of thanks to the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Institutes extended his thanks to the Chief Guest. 32 Teams across the country registered themselves for Debate Competition from Indraprastha University, New Delhi, National Law School, Lucknow, Rajiv Gandhi National University, Patiala, Gujarat National Law University, Ahmedabad, BITS, Pilani, PAU, Ludhiana, DMC, Ludhiana, LPU, Jalandhar and many other places. The debate competition will be concluded on 28th March 2009, Saturday at PCTE campus.
While congratulating and welcoming all the participating teams and organizers, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Institutes said that Debate is one kind of competitions which encourages the participants to think, respond and develop their academic capacities. This is first ever in the India that Debate based on British Parliament format is being organized by any Business School. Team of four students makes one team and two teams representing proposition and opposition debate in favour and against the topic one by one. One debate goes on for one hour between two teams.
While addressing the participants Mr. Sachit Jain suggested all the students to identify and use their strengths to be successful in the life. Mr. Jain said that due to sharp change in the lifestyle today students’ life has become stressful and full of worries. He reminded the old days when the students used to exercise regularly, play games for several hours, meditating and organizing social events and doing several those things which have taken back seat now days and possibly a strong reason for stressful lives. Mr. Jain there are few external and internal barriers which affect our performance as student, professional and above all as human being. External barriers can be defeated once we are strong internally and internal strength can be gained by believing in god and truth, paying respect to human kind, being honest and studious and disciplined. While replying some of the queries, Mr. Jain also said that innovations are of two types namely continuous and abrupt. Continuous innovations should keep on going in any organization and abrupt innovation is mainly related to technology. These innovations are life of business. While commenting on economic crisis, Mr. Sachit Jain remarked that cost cutting is one mode of recovery to come out present global crisis. Indian Industry is already geared up to face any turbulence further. Mr. Jain suggested students to be innovative and passionate in their lives to be successful.
At the end of the session, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General PCTE Institutes thanked Mr. Sachit Jain for inaugurating the event and giving fruitful suggestions to all the students and faculty present on the occasion.
