PCTE ties up with Max New York Life for Job Oriented Diploma Programme in Insurance Management


The PCTE Institute of Management & Technology has collaborated with Max New York Life Insurance for running Diploma Programme in Insurance Management from June 2009. Mr. Sandhir Sharma, Deputy Director & Unit Head
signed MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Mr. Rajit Mehta, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of Max New York in Gurgaon. The period of the Diploma programme is 10 months 15 days covering 24 various types of insurance and management subjects. The programme will be conducted through trimester system. The first batch of 60 students will commence from June at PCTE. This programme will be to graduates in any stream. As per the agreement with MNYL, the company shall offer placement to graduating diploma students from PCTE.

On this occasion, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General PCTE remarked that Insurance industry is very dynamic in nature growing at the rate of 95% approx. per annum. Thus the requirement of insurance professionals is growing faster. This course has been designed in association with MNYL, well known brand in insurance industry, to help young professionals of Punjab state getting handsome job opportunities.

Further explaining about the course, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Institutes informed that the programme would offer professional training in specialized subjects such as Insurance Sales Practices & Management, Insurance Business Environment & Company operations, Insurance Products, Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Life Insurance.
