NATIONAL LEVEL CONFERENCE ON LATEST TRENDS IN IT AT PCTE
Punjab College of Technical Education organized National Level Conference on “Latest Trends in IT”. The Conference was organized by Computer Science Society of the College. The society comprises of the students of BCA /MCA and MSc (IT) and is actively organizing the events related to Information Technology every year in the Institute. In the conference approx 40 research papers were presented by the students of Computer Science stream of different colleges from all over the country. Participants from Ghaziabad, Rohtak, Kanpur, Jalandhar and many other cities of the country presented their research papers. The conference was inaugurated by the Chairman, PMET, and Wg.Cdr H.S.Gill. Dr K.N.S.Kang Director General PCTE group of Institutes addressed the students. Professor R.Kumar, Dean Computer Sciences delivered Key note address on the occasion. Faculty members of PCTE, staff and parents of the students were also present on the occasion. In the concluding session all the presenters were given certificates by Chairman PMET.
Dr K.N.S.Kang, Director General PCTE group Of Instituites congratulated the students for their efforts and said that these types of conferences on the part of students will act as a great source of motivation and learning on the part of the students. He also encouraged that such type of events should be organized in more numbers as there is dearth of IT Conferences in this part of the country.
Prof Kumar, Dean Computer Science department said that these type of conferences provide the best platform for the students to explore their hidden talents in the field of Research. He further added that today’s world is driven by Information technology and young students participation in such events will help them to understand the development and usage of IT in daily operations.
