Prof. Tandon to Address PCTE Students on 26-Apr-2010


Prof. Atul Tandon, will be delivering a talk to PCTE students on “Cross- Cultural Marketing” of PCTE on 26th April, 2010. Prof. Tandon, who was instrumental in taking Mudra Institute of Communication to the top Communication B-School in India during his eight years stint with the institute is also the Director Cadilla Pharmaceuticals & J.L Morison (India) Ltd.

Prof. Tandon accomplished his MBA from IIM, Ahmedabad way back and at present he is Senior Enterprise Fellow at Essex Business School of University of Essex. Globalization is once more on the swing and marketing a product is becoming different day by day as Nations unite together to form Regional groups. Marketing was earlier a simple phenomenon of identifying a target and then addressing the product to them but now every nation works in cartels of makes a complex scenario as we have a moving and dynamic target. To add to the woes, cultural and ethnocentric issues deepen the complexity, where nations may unite physically for an effort but fail to understand the anthropology which decides the fates of the brands and products. To address such complexities, Prof. Tandon has a wide exposure in terms of skills, abilities, travels, et al.

Dr. K.N.S Kang Director General PCTE group of Institutes said “with unlimited growth capacity each nation, its marketing skills will market decide the fate of success and revenue in the forthcoming years”. He further added that PCTE always stress on providing the overall academic knowledge to the students. With cost of communication dropping down day by day, he said “Communication across the culture will become difficult and very crucial for the success of product in the time of course”
