S. Bikramjit Singh Khalsa, Chief Parliamentary Secretary gives away “Best Teacher Award” during Koshish-2009 at PCTE
The Punjab College of Technical Education (PCTE) conferred “Best Teacher Award” to 11 different teachers of Schools and colleges of Ludhiana on 5th day of Koshish-2009 i.e. 25th Sep 2009, Friday. These teachers were selected on the basis of the survey conducted from more than 900 students of first year of PCTE group of Institutes. S.Bikramjit Singh Khalsa, Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Technical Education) gave away the prizes to all the teachers on this occasion at PCTE campus.
While delivering his remarks on this occasion, S. Bikramjit Singh Khalsa said that it is an excellent activity to encourage the teachers who have done remarkably well in their field of subject. Teachers are builders of nation and awarding them with appreciation is one of the best tasks anyone can do. On this occasion, S. Bikramjit Singh Khalsa offered grant of Rs 5 Lakhs for building Infrastructure and Lab development of PCTE group of Institutes and appreciated the efforts of PCTE faculty and students for bringing in professional culture to the state of Punjab.
On this occasion, Dr. K.N.S.Kang, Director General, PCTE Institutes congratulated all the awardees and remarked that PCTE started awarding teachers of schools of colleges during Koshish in 2005. The basic objective of this exercise is to encourage the teachers who delivered their best and remembered by their students for their excellence in the field of academics. PCTE used to conduct this survey on Best Teachers from its first year students every year on Teachers Day.
The teachers awarded were. Ms. Ravinder Kaur from Khalsa Girls Sr. Secondary School, Civil Lines Ms. Shikha Dogra from Khalsa college for Women, Ms. Sukhjinder Kaur from Guru Nanak Public School, Mr. Bhupinderjit Singh from Guru Nanak International, Mr. Charanjit Singh, Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Ms. Gurjeet Kaur of Sant Sundar Singh Sr. Secondary School, Mr. Jarnail Singh from Govt. Sr. Secondary School, Mr. Pince Jain of Alpine International Sr. Secondary School, Ms. Monika Sharma from New Sr. Secondary School, Mr. Narinder singh from Sekhon Sr. Secondary School and Ms. Navdeep Kaur from Khalsa College of women.
