The students of PCTE IHM have a close interaction with the Hotel Industry. Our students were selected by the best Hotel Chains for Industrial Training. Some of the properties where our students went for training include:

PCTE IHM has a tie up with ITC fortune Hotels for the training and placement of our students. Chef O.P.Kantwal, Corporate Chef of ITC and Chef Ajay Markan, Master Chef of ITC visited PCTE IHM campus. In a meeting with management of PCTE, it was agreed that the top team of ITC would provide inputs to the Institute for upgrading the curriculum and training of faculty members as well. The students of our Institute have a direct access to ITC fortune hotels as well. They get in touch with the executives for their concerns of placement or training assistance.

Our students regularly visit local Hotels, restaurants and fast food chains for getting hand on experience about their operations. Some of the local ethnic restaurants, bars and fast food chains where our students have been so far include Life Hotels Ludhiana, Park Plaza Ludhiana, Haveli Restaurants, Mc Donald’s, Kentuky Fried Chicken,  etc. In the class room then, the students analyze the menus items in terms of product and service quality and make suggestions to understand the operations. The students are briefed by the managers on the products and services they offer. Our students also visit the local Hotels to understand other operational areas like Laundry and House Keeping. The students given an entire floor of rooms which they clean as per the standards taught.  Our faculty and non teaching staff are also trained in the Industry as per the requirement.
