what is BTTM?

Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) is a degree that gives you in-depth knowledge to Indian and international tourism industry by preparing you for travel and tourism business concepts specific to the field. This job requires a certain set of knowledge, and the ability to multitask and communicate efficiently with customers. This course is going to teach you about travel agency, Airline management, Hospitality Industry, Marketing, Human Resource Management, French as a language and Tour Guiding etc. This course is perfectly designed for filling the gap between current education and industry requirements. Industrial Exposure for 8 months makes students perfect to work in an MNC company. Airline, Travel Agency, Hotel industry any one area can be taken as a specialisation.

Eligibility for BTTM in PCTE?

  • BTTM – 60 Seats
    Eligibility: All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council

     

  • Those candidates who have passed their Matriculation examination AND have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such Examination from any other recognised State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

  • Passport Making Activity: The travel and tourism students understand the process of passport making
  • Every student has to get atleast 20 passports processed during the semester.
  • Travel Desk: – The travel and tourism students are assigned with their duties to perform likewise queries relates to tours, visa, ticketing etc
  • Training in Travel Agencies: – Students prepare tour packages, process visa applications of various countries, make air ticketing reservation (with online portals), act as a tour guide. The students are also involved in sales and marketing of a tour package, Event Planning, Railway ticketing (IRCTC) etc.

My name is Anureet Kaur and I am studying in bachelor of travel and tourism management from Punjab College of technical education. I came to Pcte in 2020 from Odisha to study travel and tourism in Punjab. It was a big move for me and my sister both shifted here. although our route connected to Punjab, but my family is been living in Orissa from long time. My sister aim was to become air hostess as she is beautiful, tall girl. she always dreamt about a cabin crew. I thought about to start my career from hotel industry. I am a kind of person who loves to take care of others. Listen to them and help them in every way. I made lots of new friends over here and learn so much about Punjab, which I never thought I will be knowing if I would be staying in Orissa. Our college works very hard on the soft skills of students. They make us groomed and prepare us for the industry. I learn a lot during my presentations. I still remember those days in first semester then we don’t know about anything about presentation and how to present something a teacher helped us rigorously in every aspect so we can be best version of our own self. I always want to be a best college for me and here I find it and I am living my life as a best. Thank you so much PCTE.

I am studying in BTTM 2020 batch. I started my journey during COVID-19 we thought, there is no hope of doing travel and tourism courses and there was no fun attending online classes. Every time you have to sit in front of the screen and just look, there was no human touch, later on, We went to classes offline and then we enjoy our college time. I am right now in my third year. I have many beautiful memories of the city. Pcte gives us a lot of opportunities to shine like a star. The faculty over here are seasoned and well-trained. They are the one who are not just teaching a subject knowledge but life lessons as well. I want to make my career in aviation sector. I want to be an air hostess in future I am preparing myself how to groom, dress, communicate and other factors as well.

My Name is Jaspreet Singh I From BTTM 1st year,I live in Ludhiana & PCTE college is one of the eco friendly college in the Ludhiana city of punjab , I m doing BTTM course (bachelor of tour travel and management) from this college this course is all about, traveling , how to make passport, visa , in traveling industry you meet different types of personality, destination,etc I love this course because I am people person , like to travel & explore the new destination. The pcte college also provide practical studies to the students like travelling industrial trip where the student get the knowledge and they experience the thing. Pcte college is different from other colleges because it is located in nature area and also take care of the environment , pcte is lucky for me It was really great experience in this college,I always thank to GOD for giving me such a great college & my friends, faculties and are director sir Mr Kang who always motivate the students . College Infrastructure The PCTE Group of Institutes provide all the necessary facilities to the students. It has the best infrastructure in all the fields. Everything is well maintained. Classrooms are fully furnished and very clean. All the buildings are air-conditioned. Academics I am pursuing the BTTM, bachelor of travel and tourism management. In our faculty, quality of teaching is well maintained. All the teachers are highly qualified, experienced and well versed in their subjects. They are very courteous and helpful with pleasing manners. Placements The best thing about the PCTE is that it provides placement apportunity to its students after completion of the studies. Almost all the students get the placement. Every year India's best companies visit the campus to conduct the interviews..
