Dr. K.N.S. Kang,
Chairman cum Director General, PCTE Group of Institutes, Ludhiana completed his Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra in 1986 and then did his MBA & Ph.D in Business Management. He stood fourth in State in Higher Secondary Examination and has been National Level Athlete and won Inter University competition in cultural activities and for his all round performance; he received Shaheed Bhagat Singh State Youth Award.
He also got best alumni award from NIT Kurukshetra & Department of Business Management, PAU Ludhiana. He got education evangelist 2015 award on Times Now. Dr Kang also held top positions in state level Association and Projects.

- ExDirector-Smart City Project-Ludhiana.
- He is also member of Management Committee, KVM School-Ludhiana.
In 1999 he set up PCTE Group of Institutes approved by AICTE. It has now 5 Colleges with approximately 2700 Students. About 250 International Students from different countries are studying at PCTE. Under Dr Kang leadership and Vision, PCTE group of Institutes has been declared Best Institute in Business Management, Pharmacy & Hotel Management in the State of Punjab by Punjab Technical University in 2014 & 2015 and got outstanding B School (North India) Award from ABP News, Bloomberg UTV, Amar Ujala & Dainik Bhaskar.
PCTE was also conferred outstanding B School Leadership Award by ET Now, Star News & by Philip Kotler World Marketing Summit, Malaysia. As per Outlook Magazine of 5th October, 2015, PCTE has been ranked 2nd in India on the basis of ROI (Return of Investment) amongst private B Schools. It is ranked 9th on the basis of ROI amongst all the Institutes including IIT’s & IIM’s. Overall, it is ranked 46th in India.
